The group said the reopening of the Warri and Port Harcourt refineries, after many years of abandonment, has earned the administration the trust of Nigerians.

They expressed hope that coming onstream of the refineries will lead to reduction in fuel price.

The executive director of SAHRAI, Amb. Larry Onah, in a statement, said the “Coalition of Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) led by Stay Alert Human Rights Awareness Initiative passes a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and GMD NNPCL led by Mele Kyari for their strategic and laudable Achievement in oil sector.

“We commend the good work of President Tinubu and Mele Kyari for reopening the Warri and Port Harcourt refineries after many years of abandonment. This giant achievement is unprecedented in the history of other presidents and GMDs.

“With Warri and Port Harcourt refineries working simultaneously the price of fuel will reduce and it will engender the trust and support of Nigerians in the Tinubu led government.

“We praise Mele Kyari led management of NNPCL for working hard to restore Nigerians glory and pride as a major oil producing country. We call on President Tinubu to extend the leadership of Mele Kyari in NNPCL.

“His leadership has ensured credibility, integrity, hard work and professionalism. Mele Kyari has proved himself to be the best appointee of President Tinubu,” the NGOs stated.
