A philanthropist, Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji, has donated N30 million to the Anglican College of Nursing and Health Technology, Ogidi-Ijumu, in Kogi State.

He made the donation during the groundbreaking and foundation-laying ceremony of the administrative building in the institution.

Asiwaju Prince Olusoji, the special guest of honour, said the donation was to assist the state’s health sector.

He added that the government cannot be everywhere, and as a result, whatever little he can do to assist the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Ododo as governor of the state, he will do it.

“The governor is trying his best in the area of health sector. He has commenced renovation of primary health care centres across the state.

“So this contribution is to propel the development of the educational institution and pave the way for a brighter future for students in the community. We need to encourage our children to go to school, they are our pride tomorrow,” he said.

In his response, Rt Revd Dr Paul Olarewaju Ojo, Bishop of the Anglican Communion Ijumu Diocese, thanked Asiwaju Prince Olusoji for the donation.

He mentioned that his donation would undoubtedly have a ripple effect, enriching the educational landscape and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
