The couple’s marriage was solemnised on Friday at the Ansarudeen Mosque in Maitama, Abuja. The event was graced by prominent figures, including former President Goodluck Jonathan; Ekiti State governor, Abiodun Oyebanji; Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele; Senators Shehu Sani, and Gbenga Daniel, who were among the distinguished guests at different events of the wedding.

Prior to the Islamic wedding ceremony, the couple had also celebrated their love with a civil wedding and a traditional ceremony, underscoring their commitment to blending modern and traditional practices.

Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, KBE PC, the paternal grandfather of the bride, was a distinguished Nigerian politician and the first and only prime minister of Nigeria at the time of its independence. His legacy adds historical significance to the union, symbolising the convergence of Nigeria’s past and its present.
