PICTORIAL: Electoral Officers, Materials Arrive Polling Unit In Oyo By-election

Electoral officials started to arrive at polling units for the ongoing by-election into Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State.

At the Ward 4 where voting is taking place, Methodist Primary School, Ibadan, voters have begun to arrive at the Ward to exercise their voting rights.

Methodist Primary School unit comprises 6, 7, 34, 35, and 36 polling units.

Similarly, election materials were being set up for the commencement of voting as voters started to arrive and checking through the register to confirm their eligibility to vote.

Security has also been beefed up to aid prospective voters to go to their polling units to peacefully exercise their franchise.

Roads leading to the affected 12 voting wards have also been blocked to vehicular movement with streets deserted to ensure a hitch-free exercise.

The affected areas include Sango, Eleyele, Apete, ljokodo, U.I., Agbowo, Agbowo Express, Beere/Oje, Odoye, Gate, Basorun, Ashi, Mokola and Adamasingba axis.

Although movement has been restricted in the affected areas, the Nigeria Police however exempted essential service providers.
