Abdul-Aziz Umar Ganduje, son of former Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Thursday, paid a visit to the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at the latter’s Miller Road residence in Kano.

Photographs from the visit, shared on Facebook by Kwankwaso’s media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, showed Abdul-Aziz dressed in the signature white-and-red Kwankwasiyya attire. He was received by Kwankwaso in the company of the Kano State deputy governor, Comrade Abdulsalam Gwarzo.

The images, however, were not accompanied by any official statement or caption explaining the purpose of the visit.

The development has since generated conversations among political observers in Kano and beyond given the long-standing political rivalry between Kwankwaso and Abdul-Aziz’s father, the immediate-past national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
