Yahya’s appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of the former chairman, Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado.

The governor also inaugurated Kabiru Haruna Getso as Special Adviser on Employment, Sale Musa Sa’adu as Special Adviser on Social Responsibility, and Mr. Sylvester Kole as Special Adviser on South-South Community Affairs.

Speaking after the oath-taking, Governor Yusuf said the appointments were selected based on merit and urged the appointees to remain committed to safeguarding the integrity of Kano State.

He cautioned the new anti-corruption chairman against favouritism and corruption, stressing that he must not succumb to fear or allow himself to be used to serve personal interests.
