Sadam Mu’azu, 33, of Tukuntawa Quarters, Kano, had been on the wanted list of the Police Command for an extended period due to public outcry from his community regarding his drug peddling.

Residents reported Saddam, alias ‘Badoo’, as a key figure receiving and distributing illicit drugs, including cannabis, particularly among young people and housewives in the area.

A statement signed by the spokesperson of the Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, revealed that the successful arrest followed dedicated efforts from teams led by the Officer in Charge of Anti-Daba Unit, SP Hussaini Gimba, and DPO in charge of Sharada Police Division, CSP Bilyaminu Bello, who conducted a meticulous surveillance operation that culminated in the apprehension of ‘Badoo’ and his accomplices on April 22, 2024.

Police recovered various incriminating evidence during the raid, including 11 parcels suspected to be Indian Hemp, a cutlass, five motorcycles believed to be used for drug sales and distribution, and over N111,500 cash suspected to be proceeds of their illegal activities.
