The wreath-laying ceremony was a solemn moment, attended by dignitaries including Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor, Barr. Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, the Secretary to the Lagos State Government, and CP Adegoke Fayoade, the State Commissioner of Police.

In addition to the traditional parade and wreath-laying, Governor Sanwo-Olu released pigeons as a symbolic act to commemorate the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
