Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has proposed a budget estimate of ₦471.13 billion for the 2025 fiscal year, reflecting a significant increase of ₦156.28 billion from the 2024 budget.

The proposed budget tagged, “Budget of Consolidation and Sustainability,” prioritises infrastructure development, economic growth and peacebuilding across the state.

The breakdown showed that ₦201.52 billion was earmarked for recurrent expenditure which accounts for 43.46% of the total budget while the remaining ₦269.61 billion was allocated for capital expenditure, constituting 56.54% of the budget aimed at addressing critical development needs in the state.

Agriculture was allocated the sum of N19.4bn, education has N52.4bn and health N30.7bn.
