Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has declared that the people of the state remain steadfast in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that Plateau will not abandon the President ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The governor said the Tinubu administration has demonstrated a genuine commitment to addressing the developmental and security challenges confronting the state and the country at large.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Baban Lamba–Sharam Road project, on Thursday in the state, Mutfwang stated that President Tinubu is determined to turn around the fortunes of Nigerians through bold reforms and strategic investments in critical infrastructure.

According to him, the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding tangible results across different sectors, particularly in transportation, security and economic development.

“The President is committed to changing the narrative of our country. He is poised towards turning around the fortunes of Nigerians, and we in Plateau State have seen evidence of that commitment through several interventions and projects,” the governor said.

Mutfwang stressed that the people of Plateau appreciate the Federal Government’s support and would continue to stand firmly with the President.

“For us in Plateau, it is Tinubu or nothing. We will not abandon a leader who has shown sincerity of purpose and a genuine concern for the wellbeing of our people,” he declared.

The governor commended the Federal Government for prioritising road infrastructure, noting that the Baban Lamba–Sharam Road would significantly improve connectivity, boost agricultural activities and open up rural communities to greater economic opportunities.

He explained that the project would ease the movement of people and goods, reduce transportation costs and enhance security along the corridor.

Mutfwang further noted that sustained investment in infrastructure remains critical to achieving inclusive growth and ensuring that rural communities are not left behind in the nation’s development agenda.

He said the Tinubu administration deserves support for embarking on transformative projects aimed at strengthening national integration and stimulating economic activities across the country.

The governor also recalled President Tinubu’s interventions following recent security challenges in Plateau State, including consultations with stakeholders and support for victims of violent attacks, describing the efforts as evidence of compassionate leadership.

According to him, the President has consistently demonstrated a willingness to engage with Plateau leaders in the search for lasting peace and stability in the state.

Mutfwang urged residents to remain united and continue supporting government initiatives designed to foster peace, development and prosperity.

He maintained that political differences should not overshadow the collective responsibility of building a more secure and economically viable Plateau State.

The governor expressed confidence that ongoing federal projects, including major highway constructions linking the North-Central and North-East regions, would further accelerate development and strengthen commercial activities in the state.

He added that the partnership between Plateau State and the Federal Government would continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

“As we move towards 2027, our position remains clear. Plateau stands with President Tinubu because we believe in the vision he has articulated for Nigeria and in his determination to make that vision a reality,” Mutfwang said.
