The police in Lagos have arraigned a 27-year-old TikToker, Oladimeji Hammed, also known as Immunizer, before the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ikeja for alleged cyberbullying and online harassment of Mrs Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, the widow of the late singer Mohbad.

The police docked Hammed on a six-count charge of using social media to post harmful, insulting, and provocative content targeting the 26-year-old widow.

Prosecutors from the state command alleged that the defendant committed the offences on February 8, when he claimed the complainant was planning to flee Nigeria before justice was served in her husband’s death, attaching her passport photo.

The police also alleged that on February 11, he shared content implying she failed to deny infidelity allegations during court proceedings and that eight days later, the defendant supposedly posted content alleging private photos of Omowunmi had been leaked online.

The defendant was also accused of publishing, on March 14, a video with derogatory remarks and accusations, insinuating she was involved in a hidden agenda concerning her late husband’s affairs.

The final count accuses him of sharing nude images and other content meant to humiliate her.

Police prosecutors informed the court that from February 8 to March 14, Hammed continuously spread insulting, abusive, and provocative messages against Omowunmi, subjecting her to public ridicule, online harassment, and threats.

They also said these online attacks contributed to an incident on March 15, when she was confronted and nearly physically assaulted by members of the public.

The defendant pleaded not guilty and was granted bail under strict conditions, including two sureties who must show evidence of a bank balance of at least ₦700,000 each.

The court further ordered that one of the sureties must be a civil servant of the state, and the other a close relative; both must prove current tax compliance.
