Police Arrest 14 Kidnap, Murder, Cult Suspects In Anambra

About 14 persons aged between 18 and 36 years have been arrested by the anti-crime squad of the Anambra State police command in connection with kidnapping, murder and cult activities within the past two weeks.

Among them were Emeka Okolo, aged 29 years from Ihiala LGA; Uchenna John, aged 21 years, from Ebonyi state and Victor Iniukpong, aged 31 from Akwa-Ibom State. They were arrested in connection with the killing of one petrol station attendant at Nimo, Njikoka LGA of the state after which they whisked away his boss, Mr. Abuchi Madueke, and snatched the latter’s 330 Lexus Jeep.

The commissioner of police in the state, Nnaghe Itam who paraded the suspects yesterday at the venue of a conference he organised for heads of police divisions in the state in Nibo, Awka-South LGA said the suspects were arrested at Onitsha area two days after where they were trying to demobilise a tracker on another of their victims, one Chukwujindu Obinna from St. Charles Catholic Church in the area.
