Police Arrest 2 Kidnappers For Killing Mubi Businessman

Operatives of the Adamawa State police command have arrested two suspected kidnappers for allegedly killing a Mubi-based businessman, Alhaji Ahmadu Mohammed.

The suspects, Mohammed Bello, 22, from Jere-Gada and Abubakar Mallam  Debis, 26, conspired and whisked away the victim’s wife Aishatu Ahmadu, after killing her husband. The suspects were arrested after collecting N2million ransom.

The commissioner of police, Afolabi Babatola, commended the divisional police officer (DPO) Mubi North and his men for their gallant performance.

The operation which was carried out by the operatives attached to Divisional Police Headquarters, Mubi North and some hunters, yielded positive results as the masterminds of kidnapping in the area were arrested.

The successes followed a report received that one Aisha Ahmadu, 28years old, was kidnapped and her husband, Alhaji Ahmadu Mohammed shot and killed in the process at Digil Village, Mubi North local government area.

The commissioner of police equally called on the populace to always inform the police of the hideouts of criminals.
