The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Grace Iringe-Koko, in a statement made available to journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday, said the arrest was a follow-up to a complaint by one Ms. Precious Friday.

Precious, an indigene of Ubima community in Ikwerre local government area of the state, had reported to the Police about the disappearance of two-year-old male child, Jasper Friday.

The statement reads in part: “Following up on a complaint by Ms. Precious Friday of Ubima community in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State that her child was missing, operatives of the Commissioner of Police Monitoring Unit have arrested one Mercy Enyindah, who incidentally was said to have visited the Complainant’s home shortly before the disappearance of the child.
