Not a few persons were shocked as tongue wagged in Awka as the video of the floating body of the lady in a swimming pool became viral yesterday.

Sources said that Miss Chinyere who was a popular clubber in the capital city was beaten to death by friends of the birthday celebrant in the club on Saturday for allegedly stealing money being sprayed on the celebrant.

It was learnt that while the celebrant was being sprayed money, Chinyere was caught picking up the money and pocketing it, a development that was said to have infuriated some of the celebrant’s friends who after beating her to death, dumped her lifeless body in the abandoned swimming pool in the hotel in Awka.
