The raid of the suspects across the metropolis, it was gathered, led to the recovery of a semi-automatic pistol in another raid that took place on Tuesday 10th April 2024.

Lagos State Police Command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the raid was carried out in Anthony, Bolade Oshodi, and Oshodi Terminus.

Hundeyin remarked that the raid followed credible intelligence received by the police about the activities of undesirable elements in those areas.

Hundeyin said, “The pistol was recovered in Opebi, Ikeja when Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi deployed a team from the squad to verify information received from members of the public”

He, however, stated, “The 43 suspects are those found culpable after a thorough screening of all arrested suspects from the squad to verify information received from members of the public. Also recovered during the discreet operation were two 9mm calibre and one expended ammunition.”
