Edo State Police Command has arrested five suspects allegedly involved in the killing of four farmers in two communities in the state.
Two persons were killed in Eware Community in Etsako West local government area on Thursday by suspected Fulani herdsmen while two others were earlier killed in
Okpekpe community of Etsako East on Monday.
Police spokesman, SP Moses Yamu, said the command arrested the five suspects in connection to the two incidents in Eware and Okpekpe , adding that investigations were ongoing and that the command would soon apprehend others that are connected to the Ovia South West killings a fortnight ago.
Yamu said that the command had launched Operation Rescue which had deployed police officers to various parts of the state with the purpose of tackling insecurity.
