Edo State Police Command has arrested five suspects allegedly involved in the killing of four farmersĀ in two communities in the state.
Two persons were killed in Eware Community inĀ Etsako West local government area on Thursday by suspected FulaniĀ herdsmen while two othersĀ were earlier killed in
Okpekpe community of Etsako East on Monday.
Police spokesman, SP Moses Yamu, said the command arrested the five suspects in connection to the twoĀ incidents in Eware and Okpekpe , adding that investigations were ongoing and that the command would soon apprehend others that are connected to the Ovia South West killings a fortnight ago.
YamuĀ said that the command had launched Operation Rescue which hadĀ deployed policeĀ officers to various parts of the stateĀ with the purpose of tackling insecurity.
