Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping Unit of the Kaduna State Police Command have apprehended a notorious kidnapper identified as Abdulrahman, a resident of Karshi, Abuja for alleged possession of an AK-47 rifle along with 27 rounds of live ammunition.

Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP Munsir Hassan, revealed in a statement that Abdulrahman confessed during investigation to being involved in several kidnapping incidents in Ikara local government area of Kaduna State.

ASP Hassan said, further investigations are ongoing on the suspect, adding that Abdulrahman will be prosecuted upon the completion of preliminary investigations.

Meanwhile, he said the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Ali Dabigi has applauded the officers involved in the arrest of the suspect for their exemplary work.

CP Dabigi also assured the public of the command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of life and property throughout the state.
