Police Arrest Suspected Kidnappers In Abuja Hotel

Police operatives of the FCT Police Command attached to Anti-Kidnapping Unit, while acting on credible intelligence, have arrested one Buhari Muhammad, a 20-year-old wanted kidnap kingpin; Muhammad Sabiu, 20-year-old; Isah Abdullahi; Hamzat Musa, 21-year-old; Fatima Abdullahi, 22-year-old, and Zuliat Yusuf, 23-year-old, in a hotel in Bassa village in FCT.

FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said the notorious kidnap syndicate was responsible for the abduction of one Joshua Eze, the husband to Blessing Eze, who suffered a bullet injury in the process of her husband’s abduction on January 27, 2024.

He was later rescued unhurt by Police operatives of the FCT Command on January 28, 2024.

The police said one AK47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, cash sum of N345,000 and some other valuables were recovered from the suspects, who have since confessed to the crime and other kidnapping incidents in the Territory.

While investigation was still ongoing, the PPRO said the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ben Igweh, wished to assure members of the public of his commitment to rid FCT of criminality in all its manifestation.
