Bauchi State commissioner of police, CP Auwal Mohammed Musa, has said the recruitment of police constables in the state is going on smoothly.
He said, “The processes for the recruitment of constables as initiated by the Police Service Commission in conjunction with the Nigeria Police Force, and the ministry of Police Affairs is going on very well for us to ensure there is no breach of protocol.”
Musa however warned those taking part in the exercise in Bauchi against any act capable of distorting it.
The CP spoke when he monitored the exercise at the Yelwa Centre in Bauchi yesterday.
He said nobody was allowed to be at the venue of the recruitment with money.
“I am here on a routine visit to the recruitment center that we have here in Bauchi State.
The process for the recruitment of constables as initiated by the police service commission in conjunction with the inspector-general of police and the ministry of Police Affairs is going on well as you are seeing it,” he said.
According to him, “The whole thing is for us to ensure that there is no breach of protocol. We want all the processes to be adhered to as directed by the IGP, Kayode Egbetokun and the chairman of the Police Service Commission, Dr Solomon Arase.”
“All people have been warned, especially those that are going to partake in the recruitment process, that they should shun corruption. Nobody is allowed even to come with money around”, he added.
The commissioner also assured that the recruitment process is going to be perfected to ensure that the Bauchi State command under his watch gets the best for the Nigeria Police Force.
