Police Debunk Rumours Of Paranormal Powers In Bauchi

Bauchi State Police Command has refuted rumours of the presence and activities of people with spiritual powers in the state.

The rumours alleged the existence of the people with paranormal abilities in the Bauchi metropolis that poses threat to the security and safety of the good people of the state.

A statement by Bauchi police command said, “The intelligence machinery has relentlessly unravelled and has it that the story in circulation which induces extensive anxiety and panic to the law-abiding citizen of the state is fictitious and baseless.”

The command also categorically assured that the story is baseless and that no incident of such has been tracked down.

A statement signed by command spokesperson, Ahmed Mohamed Wakil, yesterday, said the alleged story is bogus and called on the law-abiding citizens to disregard such news.

He admonished the populace to desist from such acts as well as taking laws into their hands.

To this end, the commissioner of police, Bauchi State Command, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, has urged members of the public to go about their lawful businesses without fear of intimidation.
