The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, in a statement said the operation took place in the early hours of Wednesday, March 12, 2025, after police received a distress call at about 1a.m. reporting an attack on Unguwar Sarkin Fulani Dutsen Dadi, a village near Tafoki in Faskari LGA.

He said the suspected bandits, armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the village, abducting 30 residents and rustling two cows, 92 sheep, and goats.

In a swift response, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Faskari mobilised an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) patrol team to the scene.

Adding that the police team engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle, forcing the assailants to flee with gunshot wounds, resulting in rescuing 30 kidnapped victims unharmed, and the rustled animals successfully recovered.
