The timely response on the police saved the day when invaders suspected to be armed robbers stormed Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State in the early hours of Thursday.
Some students of the private university which was founded by the Urhobo Advancement Foundation (UAF), raised the alarm over the invasion as they were thrown into panic with some of them running into the bush for safety.
The invaders reportedly gained access into the school premises through the back that was not fenced in an attempt to rob the students.
