Police Inspector Demoted For Extorting N100 In Imo

A police inspector, Isong Osudueh, attached to the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) has been demoted over his alleged extortion of N100 from commercial buses along the Onitsha express road in Imo state.

Osudueh was seen in a viral video accosting commercial vehicles and forcefully demanding N100 token from them before passage.

Imo State police commissioner, Aboki Danjuma said the officer will face an orderly room trial after which other necessary disciplinary actions will be taken against him.

The command’s spokesperson, Henry Okoye said in a statement, the erring Osudueh supervisor has been issued a query for lack of proper supervision.

The statement read, “The disciplinary actions taken against the erring officer underscore the Command’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, and integrity among its personnel, while effectively discharging its lawful duties and entrenching public trust and confidence”.
