Police Kill 6 Suspected Kidnappers In Delta

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have killed six suspected kidnappers and arrested seven others at different locations in the state.

They were arrested in their hideout at Ogwashi-Ukwu, Oshimili North local government area.

According to the police, on July 12, 2025, at about 0630 hours, the command’s Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Squad, led by CSP Godwin Osadolor, trailed the suspects believed to be kidnappers and terrorising the state to their hideout in Ogwashi-Ukwu, Oshimili North local government area.

During the operation, a suspected kidnapper named Sanusi Abdullahi was arrested in possession with N5,000,000, suspected to be the ransom they collected from one of their victims.

The police said the suspect led operatives to their hideout at Second Deputy and Oko in Asaba, where four members of the gang were arrested.

The command’s public relations officer, SP Bright Edafe, said preliminary investigations revealed that they were responsible for a series of kidnapping in Ibusa, Ogwashi-Ukwu, Obulu-Okiti, Isele-Ukwu, Isele-Asagba, and the kidnapping of a young lady at Ogwashi-Ukwu on July 9, 2025.

 

“Additionally, on July 9, 2025, at about 0835 hours, along the Patani-Ughelli Expressway near the Unenurhei axis, operatives of the CP Special Assignment Team conducted a sting operation and raided the hideout of Solomon Danisco, aka ‘Picolo’ Nelson Jacob, Oruma Saturday, Olise Jude, Precious Urhobowin, and Whisky Rufus, aka ‘Asawana’ a native of Ewu community, he said.
