Police Launch Manhunt For Killers Of Adamawa PDP Chieftain

The Adamawa State Police Command has commenced investigation into the killing of Thomas Godwin, the organising secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Hong local government area of the state.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the deceased who hails from Kala’a and popularly known as Zamfara was ambushed while riding on his motorcycle on his way home.

Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankwambo said the police have deployed detectives to unravel the killing.

Dankwambo added that preliminary reports indicated that the victim who was attacked by yet-to-be-identified person(s) beat him with sticks and clubs, resulting in his death.

CP Dankwambo has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Investigation (DC SCID) to carry out a full-scale investigation into the incident.

“Team of detectives has been deployed to conduct investigation and ensure that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice.

“The Command while praying for the departed soul to rest in peace, urges members of the public to give useful information that will aid investigation,” the statement added.
