Police Nab Dethroned Monarch, 4 Others With Human Skull, Arms In Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command, on Saturday, arrested the recently dethroned Ohen of Okhorom, Ovbokhan Igbinovia Kelvin and four others for being in possession of firearms and a suspected human skull.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, SP Moses Yamu said the sting operation was carried out by the operatives of the Intelligence and Rapid Response Squad alongside the Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Command.

Yamu named those arrested alongside Ovbokhan as Osarodion Omoregie, 41years; Charles Otasowei, 55; Edwin Igbinovia, 45; and Osagie Igbinovia, 44.

Police also recovered two AK -47 rifles with breach numbers TH4782 and 6683 from the suspects.

Other items recovered include two single barrel locally made shotguns, three empty AK-47 magazines, one OFM magazine and eleven rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.
