The state’s commissioner of police, CP Abdu Umar, disclosed this in Maiduguri while narrating the achievements recorded by the command during the year under review.

He said most obvious challenges faced in the state are the activities of Boko Haram terrorists, kidnapping, rape, armed robbery, culpable homicide, drugs dealings among others, noting that all these challenges are not insurmountable by the command.

He said the challenges were tackled due to the review of the command’s operational strategies and acquisition of new specialised operational assets.

“Although the command has been showcasing its achievement to the public from time to time, below is the yearly review of the total achievement recorded.
