The warning came after the discovery of the corpse of 23-year-old Precious Yusuf along DLA Road, opposite Falcon Club, Asaba on Thursday.

The commissioner said they should be very careful, particularly when dealing with people they meet on dating websites and other social media platforms.

On Thursday, the DPO of A Division in Asaba received a call that the corpse was found at DLA Road opposite Falcon Club.

DPO Rex Abiodun then led operatives to the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that on October 22, she told her friend that she was going to see a male friend she met on iHappy dating website, only for her corpse to be later found.

Abaniwonda assured members of the public particularly the family of the deceased that investigation had commenced on the incident, while the corpse was deposited at a mortuary awaiting autopsy.
