Social media personalities Portable, born Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, and Carter Efe, born Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, have sparked buzz ahead of their upcoming celebrity boxing match, exchanging heated words during a tense pre-fight face-off.
The bout is part of Chaos in the Ring 4, scheduled for May 1 at the Federal Palace Hotel. Both men appeared confident, openly challenging each other and promising decisive victories, further fueling fan anticipation.
The event, approved by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control and organised by Balmoral Group in partnership with AK Promotions, will feature several high-profile fights.
In the main event, Ezra Arenyeka will face Godday Appah in the WBO Peace Fight, aimed at promoting unity between the Itsekiri and Ijaw communities. Both fighters have expressed strong confidence, with Appah predicting a knockout and Arenyeka vowing an early finish.
Portable, who has previously secured exhibition wins over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, says he is ready to add another victory. However, Carter Efe dismissed those wins, insisting the fight would end quickly in his favour.
Other bouts include Michael McKinson vs Mohammad Sahnoun, Elvis Ahorgah vs Joe Laws, and Rasheed Adeyemo vs Nicolaus Mdoe. Rising prospect Raheem Animashaun will also take on Emmanuel Amos.
According to Balmoral Group CEO Ezekiel Adamu, the event aims to give African fighters global exposure, with worldwide broadcast on DAZN.
