Abuja media group, BAT TV has urged Nigerian women and youths to take up the challenge of renewing the hope of the country by actively participating in the forthcoming presidential election and voting for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Co-Founder of BAT TV, Maryam Ahman during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, February 23 said women and youths are the most politically marginalized groups of people in Nigeria since the return to democratic rule in 1999, and ironically, constitute the highest voting population.
She called on Nigerians who have had enough of marginalization in the political space not to allow the current realities to deter them from positioning themselves for greatness under the presidency of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking about the media outfit, she revealed that; “This project is an initiative of four co-founders; Maryam Ahman, Suleiman Usman Yusuf, George Ugwuja Odinakachi and Olubunmi Dayo Fagbuyiro to serve as a cross-platform digital television exclusively established to inform, educate, entertain, promote and galvanize support for the candidacy of Tinubu.
“BAT TV is a dedicated online TV that is committed to developing an array of appealing audio-visual content surrounding the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
On why Nigerians should vote Bola Tinubu, she said the presidential candidate in the last two decades, has consistently proven that tremendous public good can be achieved when a visionary leader is in the driver’s seat.
“Through his personal and methodical planning on the one hand and his visionary penchant for mentoring the next level of leadership on the other hand, Lagos has unarguably witnessed a remarkable transformation since 1999.
“We recall vividly, how he stamped Lagos’ autonomy when local government funds were withheld due to the creation of additional development councils. Today, we make bold to say that there is hardly any developmental project going on in the state that does not have the imprimatur of Tinubu, as in the development master plan for Lagos put together by his administration.”
“Asiwaju also re-engineered the finances of Lagos and the conceptualization of interventionist agencies such as LASTMA, LAWMA, LASAA, amongst others serve as building blocks for running a modern city-state. No doubt, his far- sightedness is an essential ingredient in leadership worthy of replicating at the national level.
“That is why we have decided, in the interest of the nation and the underrepresented women and youth of this country, to invite well-meaning Nigerians to join the train and collectively renew our hope for a better Nigeria built on justice, equity, fairness, and leadership which represents all, irrespective of sentimental considerations.”
Also speaking, Suleiman Usman Yusuf, one of the co-founders of the group, said Tinubu, if elected, would mentor Nigerian youths, having proven through the number of individuals has he mentored who, today have risen to become leaders in different spheres in the country.
He urged Nigerians to vote en masse for Tinubu, to build a better future for the country.
