A pro-Buhari group, Buhari Votes Guard and Awareness has rejected calls for the scrapping of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and passed a vote of confidence on the management.
According to the group, President Muhammadu Buhari has successfully achieved some significant economic growth in the country despite the challenges adding that the NNPCL has also received a boost.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, the national coordinator, Buhari Votes Guard and Awareness, Dr Kailani Muhammad, said the last seven and a half years of APC government achieved some significant economic growth adding that NNPCL should not be scrapped.
“It is on record that the government has successfully achieved a significant growth in the economic development of the country and provided several infrastructures needed to ensure steady development across all segments of the society.
“The administration has equally fought corruption and strengthened agencies mandated to fight corruption in the country.
“While the administration is working to stabilize the country by achieving the following:
“Nigeria’s oil and gas industry reform (AKK, Escravos, dangote); Power sector (Siemens 25000MW), reorganization of the armed forces with an infrastructural revolution as well as the construction of the 2nd Niger & Loko – Iweto Bridge and a New deep sea port in Lagos, New railway between Lagos-Ibadan and Abuja-Kaduna-Kano, Long abandoned Warri -Itakpe, several people are busy working to bring down the government,” he said.
