The FCT Appropriation bill, 2025, was conveyed via a letter read on the floor of the House by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen at plenary on Tuesday.

Tinubu said that the budget submission was made under Section 299 of the Nigerian Constitution, which assigns legislative authority over the FCT to the National Assembly.

Tinubu noted that the budget would focus on key sectors, including healthcare, job creation, social welfare, increased agricultural output, and infrastructure development.

He stated that 85% of the budget’s capital component is earmarked for completing ongoing projects, while the remaining 15% will fund new initiatives.
