Presidential Aide Explains New Book On Law, Technology

Special assistant to the president on Justice Sector Reform and ICT/Digital Innovative Technology, Mr Fernandez Marcus Obiene, has said as the world becomes increasingly digitized, the principles and practices of law must adapt and evolve in tandem with the new advancements.

Obiene who spoke at the launch of a new book he authored, “Law and Technologies, Exploring the Evolving Intersection of Law and Technology”, said the book is aimed at encouraging positive change in the legal community.

According to him, the book provides a comprehensive exploration of the various areas where law and technology converge.

He said the book was also written to contribute to the protection of fundamental rights and the enhancement of justice in the digital age.

“The primary objective behind writing this book was to bridge the gap between the legal domain and the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

This book aims to illuminate the intricate interplay between law and technology, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities that arise at their intersection.

“Furthermore, it is expected to catalyse positive change within the legal community. By highlighting the necessity of harmonizing law and technology, the book is intended to ignite a renewed passion for embracing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The goal was to inspire legal professionals to become active architects of a future where technological progress is guided by the principles of justice, equity, and the rule of law,” he said.
