President’s Cup: Mouktar Congratulates FWC FC, Naija Ratels, Urges Teams To Make FCT Proud

The chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA), Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed, has congratulated Family Worship FC and Naija Ratels FC on their victories in the 2025 edition of the President’s Cup.

On Saturday evening at the Area 3 FIFA Goal Project pitch in the heart of Abuja, Family Worship Champions (FWC) FC triumphed over EFCC FC, winning 4-3 on penalties and claiming the 2025 FCT President’s Cup title.

In the women’s category, Naija Ratels FC defeated N-Youth Ladies Football Academy 6-0 in the final. Both teams have secured a place in the upcoming National President’s Cup.
Family Worship FC and EFCC FC will represent FCT in the men’s category, while Naija Ratels FC and N-Youth Ladies Football Academy will represent FCT in the women’s category at the Round of 64 of the 2025 National President’s Cup, which is set to commence nationwide.

In his congratulatory message, FCT FA Chairman Alhaji Adam Mouktar expressed his satisfaction with the teams’ efforts. He urged them to leave no stone unturned in ensuring they make FCT proud as they face teams from other parts of the country in the Round of 64.

Alhaji Mouktar commended the extraordinary fighting spirit of all the teams, particularly the finalists, who went the extra mile to secure their spots in the Round of 64 of the 2025 President’s Cup.

“The Nigerian football community, especially here in the FCT, is very proud of their accomplishments. We congratulate the management of FWC, Naija Ratels, EFCC, and N-Youth Ladies Football Academy for the remarkable progress of their teams,” he said.

“Go to the round of 64 and make FCT proud! We will provide you with the support you need in every way possible. Let’s go and fight with our football artistry, and we believe that we can succeed. I charge you to remain disciplined and committed.”

The FCT FA chairman also praised the fans who turned out in large numbers to support their teams, describing their backing as unparalleled.

It is worth noting that the 2025 FCT President Federation Cup began on 3 February and concluded on 22 February at the Area 3 football pitch in Abuja.
