Promasidor Nigeria, a leading food and beverage company, has officially launched Ikun Milk Day, a corporate social responsibility and social impact initiative designed to enhance child nutrition and support education in Ikun Amure, Ekiti State.

The company said that through the initiative, primary school pupils in five local schools will receive fresh milk once a week alongside nutrition and dairy farming sessions, adding that the programme reflects its ongoing commitment to health education and community development.

The event, which took place at Ikun Dairy Farm, a joint venture between Promasidor Nigeria and Fountain Holdings Limited, drew dignitaries, including the Governor of Ekiti State, Abiodun Oyebanji, the Minister of Livestock Development, represented by Victor Egbon, Director of Ruminant, and Monogastric Development members of the Ekiti State Executive Council local government officials and traditional rulers.

Governor Oyebanji commended Promasidor for its investment in child welfare and community empowerment, stating this initiative is not just about milk. It is about securing the future of our children by boosting nutrition. We also drive school enrollment and attendance.
