A popular businessman and foremost tyre dealer in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, Chief Lamidi Ajadi, has passed away.

A family source said the respected businessman died on Tuesday at a very ripe age at his Ibadan residence.

A family source, who confirmed the passing of the businessman, told Nigerian Tribune, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Chief Lamidi Ajadi who was a reputable businessman during his lifetime.”

The deceased was a highly respected elder and prominent figure in Ibadan Muslim community and its environs.

The source further described the late Ajadi as a man of peace, dignity, and unwavering devotion to the service of his faith and people.

The body of the deceased who passed on in the late hours of Tuesday would be committed to mother Earth at his residence in Ibadan on Wednesday, in accordance with Islamic rites.
