The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promoted 384 officers in Adamawa State command to their new ranks. This was announced by the state commissioner of police, Afolabi Babatola Adeniyi.
Those promoted are 137 assistant superintendents of police (ASP II) to ASP I and 247 inspectors to ASP.
Adeniyi said their elevation was sequel to recent promotion released by the PSC as recommended by the inspector-general of police (IGP).
He urged them to redouble their effort towards protecting the life and property of the citizens.
The police public relations officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said the beneficiaries had performed excellently in the discharge of their duties, which prompted their recommendation to the IGP for promotion.
Nguroje said those promoted are expected to continue to operate within the confines of the law while protecting life and property of the people of the state.
