Radda Sacks Masari’s Appointees, Names SSG, CoS

Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda has sacked all political appointees by his predecessor, Aminu Masari.

In a statement signed by the secretary to the state government (SSG) Ahmad Dangiwa, the governor directed all political appointees to hand over the affairs of their offices to the most senior directors in their MDAs.

He however exempted the Pilgrims Welfare Board from the directive until the completion of the 2023 Hajj exercise.

Radda expressed appreciation to the affected appointees for their contributions to the state government.

Meanwhile, Radda has appointed Ahmad Dangiwa as SSG and Jabiru Tsauri as the chief of staff.

In a statement signed by Dangiwa and made available to LEADERSHIP he confirmed himself (Dangiwa) as the secretary to the government of the state, Jabiru Tsauri, the chief of staff, Barr. Muhtar Aliyu Saulawa, the deputy chief of staff and Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji as principal private secretary to the governor.

He also approved the appointment of Mallam Maiwada Danmallam as the director of general media, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, chief press secretary, Malam Miqdad Isah as senior special assistant on digital media and Abubakar Badaru Jikamshi as the senior special assistant for print and electronic media.

“Bishir Maikano is the senior special assistant (Protocol) of the deputy Governor’s Office, Hassan Ibrahim Danhaire as senior special assistant on special duties of the Deputy Governor’s Office and Ahmed Rabiu as official photographer to the governor.

“The governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to join hands with him in turning around fortunes of the state,” he said.
