The executive director of Finance and Administration of the Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA), Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Dandanku, has joined the chorus of commendations celebrating the third anniversary of Katsina State governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda.

He described the administration’s achievements as a convincing and well-documented fulfilment of the promises outlined in the “Building Your Future Blueprint”.

In a statement made available to journalists, Dandanku remarked that Governor Radda had accomplished what many politicians often fail to do: “he came equipped with a comprehensive plan, adhered to it, and delivered results that the ordinary citizen can appreciate.

“Three years is ample time to evaluate a government. By any honest assessment, Governor Radda has delivered. He communicated his intentions to the people of Katsina, and he has followed through. That alone distinguishes him,” Dandanku stated.

Dandanku began his commendation by highlighting the administration’s success in the realm of security. He pointed out that when Governor Radda took office, Katsina was grappling with rampant banditry and kidnapping that had crippled farming communities, disrupted education, and undermined investor confidence in the state.

“Three years on, the administration’s dual approach — integrating robust security operations with community reconciliation and economic inclusion — has led to a noticeable and sustained reduction in violence,” he emphasised.

Turning to agriculture, Dandanku praised the governor’s commitment to prioritising farming as the cornerstone of Katsina’s economic strategy rather than merely a political talking point. He noted the construction of the Agriculture Mechanisation Centre, which has empowered over 1,000 youths, the deployment of more than 400 tractors and 10 combine harvesters through the Katsina State Sustainable Platform for Agriculture (KASPA), and the establishment of 34 local government-level mechanisation outposts. These efforts have made modern farming accessible to every farmer in Katsina, irrespective of their location.

On education, Dandanku described the administration’s investment of over N120 billion in just three years as historic. This investment encompasses the construction of 170 junior secondary schools in underserved communities, rehabilitation of 300 schools, renovation of 150 primary schools, and the commissioning of Model and Smart Secondary Schools across all three senatorial zones. He noted that these institutions, equipped with robotics laboratories, AI facilities, and digital learning tools, represent an investment whose benefits will resonate in Katsina for decades to come.

He also commended the administration’s Urban Renewal Plans, which have facilitated visible development across all three senatorial zones, ensuring that communities beyond the State capital are not overlooked in Katsina’s transformation.

“Development should not be a privilege reserved for the capital city. Governor Radda has ensured that this is not the case,” he added.

Dandanku characterised the governor as the architect of a new Katsina, laying foundations that will yield significant benefits for the state over the next ten to fifteen years.

“Some leaders build for the next election. Governor Radda is building for the next generation. The Katsina we will see in 2035 or 2040 will bear his fingerprints,” Dandanku remarked.

He concluded by wishing Governor Radda continued strength, clarity of vision, and divine support as his administration advances the remaining objectives of the Building Your Future agenda.
