To enable families to begin fasting, the Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojo-Ede (OMO) Foundation has provided solar lights and building materials to assist in developing and renovating the community mosque.
Dr Maurice Ojo-Ede, the founder of the OMO Foundation, while making the donations weekend in the Akingbile Moniya community in Ibadan, Oyo State, said the gesture was to expand its charitable endeavours.
He said the foundation which also distributed free Ramadan starter packs containing essential food items such as rice, beans, spaghetti, noodles, garri, semovita, and cooking oil also offered an eco-friendly solution to improve living conditions during the holy month.
“The distribution of Ramadan starter packs is to recognize the importance of sustainable energy, fostering unity and progress and to support Muslim faithful during the sacred month of Ramadan,” Ojo-Ede stated.
Mr Akintunde Sunday, a community leader, expressed profound gratitude for the foundation’s timely intervention.
Also, Usman John, an Imam, remarked that OMO Foundation’s support has brought light into their homes and hope into their hearts during the blessed month.
“The sentiment echoed throughout the community highlighted the positive impact of the foundation’s efforts”, he posited.
