The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike is entitled to his opinion regarding the proposed reconciliation move among the warring factions within the party.
Apparently reacting to Wike’s statement that his faction was in charge of the party and that they would negotiate based on strength, the state’s chairman of the PDP, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro said he would not to hit the polity.
He said when the factions get to the reconciliation table, the needful would be done.
“Wike is entitled to his right. The needful will be done when we get to the reconcilatory table. I will not like to hit the polity further.
“When get to the table, we will presents our own points with the aim of ensuring that the interest of Nigerians are defended”, he said.
He argued that a one-party state would not take Nigeria anywhere.
