Rectors Elect Mamman As Chairman

The Committee of Federal Polytechnic Rectors (COFER) has elected Prof. Aliyu Mamman, rector, Federal Polytechnic, Daura, Katsina State as its chairman.

Mamman will assume office on May 15, 2024, when the tenure of the current chairman, Engr. Yahaya Bande, rector, Federal Polytechnic, Kaura-Namoda, expires.

A press statement by COFER secretary, Godwin Ayegba, said the election took place during the 33rd regular meeting yesterday at the Veterinary Council, Abuja.

Until his election, Mamman was the vice chairman of COFER.

Also elected are Dr. Suleiman Muhammad Lame, rector of Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo, Gombe State as vice chairman. Dr. A.S. Taofeek A. Abdul- Hameed, rector Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State tenure as treasurer remains. Dr. A.S. Felix U. Attah, rector, Akanu- Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Ebonyi State has been appointed COFER South East zonal coordinator.
