Former attorney general and commissioner for justice in Kwara State, Mr Titus Ashaolu (SAN), has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval of  a massive cost cut in federal establishments would reduce the cost of governance  and boost the  nation’s economy.

Ashaolu who spoke with LEADERSHIP Sunday in Ilorin said the directive came at the right time and showed that the president meant well for the country.

Ashaolu called on the state governments to support the presidential initiative and  replicate same at the state level.

He called for a review of appointments and streamline the number to save cost.

Ashaolu also urged the  government to expedite action on the repair of the nation’s refineries, check inflation and increase the value of  the naira.
