Senator Tinubu described the Falcons’ performance as a shining display of brilliance, discipline, and unity.

In a statement issued shortly after the match on Tuesday, the First Lady commended the players for once again proving the strength, resilience, and talent of Nigerian women on the global stage.

“You have once again shown the world the strength, courage, and brilliance of Nigerian women,” she said. “Your passion, discipline, and unity on the field are a shining example to young girls everywhere that nothing good is beyond reach.”

Mrs Tinubu noted that the Falcons’ victory was not just a ticket to the final, but a deeper message of national pride, collective belief, and the power of determination.

“This win is more than just a ticket to the finals of the Championship, but a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we believe in ourselves and stand together,” she said.

While expressing confidence in the team’s ability to go all the way, the First Lady offered prayers for a victorious finish.

“I look forward to you lifting the Cup by the grace of God. May you finish strong,” she said.

Senator Tinubu concluded her message with heartfelt congratulations to the players, coaches, and entire Super Falcons team, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering support as they prepare for the WAFCON 2025 final.

“Congratulations, Super Falcons!” she declared.

Nigeria is eyeing a record-extending 10th WAFCON title, and the team’s qualification for the final has renewed national excitement and optimism ahead of the championship decider.
