Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic flooding in Mokwa, Tiffin Maza, and Anguwan Hausawa communities in Niger State which occurred between Wednesday and Thursday, May 28 and 29, 2025.
In a condolence message on Saturday, the First Lady extended her sympathies to Governor Umar Bago and the people of Niger State, describing the loss of lives and destruction of property caused by the torrential rains as “very saddening.”
“This devastating flooding, which led to loss of lives and properties occasioned by torrential rainfall and the geographical terrain of the State, is very saddening,” she stated.
Senator Tinubu prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved families and eternal rest for the departed souls.
“I pray that Almighty God gives the families, friends and loved ones of those affected the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
“I pray that God grant the departed souls eternal peace and rest,” she said.
