The first Neurosurgeon of Bauchi origin, Professor Abdu Ibrahim has died.

He passed away on Thursday after a brief illness at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Bauchi (ATBUTH).

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State condoled the family of Professor Abdu and the people of the state as he described his demise as a great loss not only to the members of his immediate family but also to the people of Bauchi State and the entire nation.

He said late professor Abdu Ibrahim will greatly be remembered by the citizens of the State because of his dogged commitment and enormous contributions in the area of health care delivery system since the Creation of Bauchi State .

He prayed that Allah will bless him with Aljanna firdaus, grant his family and the entire citizens of Bauchi State the fortitude to bear the loss.
