Renowned Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Gero Argungu, Dies

A respected Islamic scholar, Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu, has passed away on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, after a brief illness.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi Bala Lau, the chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bidi’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), disclosed the news of Argungu’s death.

Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu earned deep respect within the Muslim community due to his contributions to the Islamic faith and his role as a spiritual leader.

The teachings and guidance he offered have impacted the lives of numerous individuals, and his departure has created an emptiness in the hearts of those who followed him.

The funeral prayer for Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu is scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the Idin Sarki mosque in the town of Argungu, situated in Kebbi State.
