House of Representatives Committee on Sports has paid working visit to National Institute for Sports (NIS), Surulere, Lagos and commended its Director-General, Professor Olawale Moronkola, for repositioning the organisation.
The committee led by its chairman, Hon. Kabiru Amadu, said they were impressed with the hands-on performance of the DG which was attested to by the infrastructural and human capacity development under his leadership.
Other members of the committee: Hon. Uchenna Okonkwo, Fayinka Moses, Mukhtar Chawai Mukhtar, and Sunday Ojo, expressed satisfaction with what they saw at the NIS despite the paucity of funds.
“If you could achieve so much with little resources, then you can make more impact with the right budgetary allocations and government support. Be rest assured that we shall lend you support to make your job easier and fruitful,” Kabir said.
