Reps Okay N706.434bn Customs,’ N57bn Police Trust Fund Budgets

The House of Representatives has approved the N706.434 billion and N57 billion budget sums for the Nigerian Customs Service and Nigeria Police Trust Fund.

The approvals followed the consideration and adoption of reports of the House Committees on Customs and Excise as well as Police Affairs at plenary on Wednesday.

Out of the N706.434 billion Nigerian Customs Service budget, N225. 993 billion is for Personnel Cost; N111. 765 billion is for Overhead Costs, while the sum of N368.675 billion is for Capital Expenditure for the year ending 31 December,  2024.

For the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, out of the total of N57.014 billion,  the sum of N937.993 million is for Personnel Expenditure, N9.051 billion goes to Overhead Expenditure and N9.989 billion is for Recurrent Expenditure and the sum of N47.024 billion is for Capital Expenditure for the year that ended 31 December, 2023.
